Freezing! Finally, a typical Wisconsin day is upon us. My guess is it is 14 degrees with a fairly strong wind out of the Northwest dropping the temperature felt even lower. A couple possible causes for this: the first I have already talked about, there are no clouds in the sky to trap the Earth's heat (however it should be warmer during the day, I shudder at what tonight will bring). The second, the jet stream is pulling cold air down from Canada right on top of us. The map in the following link shows the upper air currents. Wind is traveling from central Canada and turning right through Wisconsin.
