10:44, Wednesday. 18 April 2012.

Warm temperatures prevailed today.  The sky was scattered cumulus clouds throughout the day with a southeast wind until early afternoon when the wind shifted to the southwest.  Right now it's 49 degrees with a north wind.  Pressure dropped all day but is now rising again (possibly due to the nighttime cooling).

It looks like a low pressure cell is centered over Nebraska and possibly a smaller cell over Kansas as well.  I think a front may extend from Nebraska to Chicago.

This shows both my predicted low cells but the front is not as straight across as I thought based on the wind directions.  In southeast Texas there is very little wind but seems to be some storm clouds, this could result in thunderstorms caused by convective warming rather than frontal actions.
